As a part of Sun Graphic Technologies' core values, we have made a concerted effort to be more involved in our two-county area, with a focus on helping those in need. Our staff enjoys the volunteer time they spend together and with those benefiting from the time spent.
Eight staff members participated in the 2018 JBR at Benderson Park in Sarasota. The weather held out and a great time was had by all. SunGT provided all of the way-finding signage and signs for the teams and vendors/sponsors.
SunGT's generous staff provided a Merry Christmas for six local children. Toys and clothing were on their wish lists, and our employees did not disappoint. This is truly a heart-warming event we are all proud of.
Sun Graphic Technologies supported the Arthritis foundation in two ways in 2017. First, 16 of our staff and their family members volunteered to work the JBR, manning the registration tables, kids zone, 50/50 raffle, and silent auction. A great time was had by all on a chilly morning at Benderson Park. Second, SunGT was a sponsor of the event, donating 85 yard signs and stakes, and the large sponsor banner hung above the presentation stage. Our team member John personally donated 250 cookies for decorating in the kids zone. A great day for a great cause!
in 2017, we made a family of 6 children happy by providing a great assortment of clothes, toys, and household items. Everyone on our staff donated cash, and Kari, Rob, Izzy, and Elizabeth had fun shopping for our adopted family. It made all of us feel good, and we're sure this family had a joyous Christmas.
On October 6, 2017, Sun Graphic Technologies hosted 20 TSA students from Palmetto High School, getting them excited about the "real world". Gave them an A-Z tour of the facility and our processes, along with "the talk" of being a good person and how to be a valuable asset to an employer. They left with personalized swag, bellies full of pizza, and hopefully a bit of excitement.
On May 13, 2017, SunGT staff members spent the day painting walls in the school. Time well spent for a great resource. Learn more about The Lily School.
On January 7, 2017, SunGT staff members worked up a sweat spreading mulch over The Lily School's entire playground and flower beds in the front of the school. I'm sure we put smiles on a few kids' faces that following Monday!
The SunGT family made two Bradenton families very merry for Christmas 2016. Personal cash donations from our staff made a great Christmas for each family of 3 children. We didn't forget about the parents either! We can't wait to do it again in 2017!
